With our first full season underway we are amazed at the variety of groups that have enjoyed Aspengrove. Already this year we have hosted a family reunion, a bachelor party, a dog agility clinic, the North Okanagan Fillies and some weekends with various families renting a cabin and enjoying all Aspengrove , Vernon and the Okanagan valley have to offer. Some groups have opted to have us cater some or all of the meals and some have chosen to use our fully equipped kitchen facility to do it themselves.
We really are a unique place. It is nice to be able to have all the extended family for a family reunion stay at one place and not have it be your back yard. With two weddings, two family reunions and a 40th birthday party celebration still coming up this year, I know that we are the best, most cost-effective place you can find for your large group get-together. Instead of a rooster in the morning you get Rita the mini-donkey announcing feeding time on the farm. It is most charming if you are already awake but she is not loud enough to wake you if the last night by the campfire went longer than you intended.
Over May long weekend we had 7 different families rent separate cabins. This is amazing. The children have others to play with and often there are different families from all different places and even countries sitting together around the campfire in the evenings. We have Bocce, Corn hole and ladder golf to play outside on the lawn. Each cabin also has a little bistro set on the balcony so you could sit on the balcony and enjoy the quiet and the chirping birds with that novel you have been waiting to read.
Aspengrove has also started hosting children’s pony ride birthday parties. These parties have been very successful with the children and adults alike being very impressed with our ideas, horses and location. We recently added two baby goats named Billy and Willy for everyone’s enjoyment. You can go right in their pen with them and pour all your love on them.
